Quality Type for and by Professionals

¶ Already 35 years ago the Dutch Type Library started supplying digital typefaces for the high-end market. dtl is renowned for its exclusive and exquisite fonts, which are used worldwide for advanced and refined typography and sophisticated branding. ¶ The typefaces of the Dutch Type Library are optimized for both print and web applications.

¶ The texts on this website are typeset in web-optimized versions of dtl Argo and dtl Antares. ¶ The perfectly crafted dtl typefaces appear as harmonically and rhythmically on screen as in print.

dtl Font Tools
¶ Since the late 1990s, the Dutch Type Library has been developing tools for professional font production. In 2001 the dtl FontMaster (fm) suite was released after years of preparations. It was the first font editor on the market that automated the subsetting of OpenType Layout features. ¶ dtl FoundryMaster (fm2) is the new advanced successor for macOS, Windows, and Linux of the fm suite. The current flagship of the dtl font tools is without any doubt OTMaster (otm), a highly sophisticated application for editing and modifying OpenType and TrueType fonts. ¶ More information
